Robbie Williams will perform at the Elbphilharmonie in November – also with the AI version of “Angels”

Robbie Williams performs at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie on Tuesday November 15th. The world star should not only play his hits in the new arrangements from the best-of album XXV, but also the song “Angels” in the version that was created together with the music AI Beethoven.

Williams will be accompanied by the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt Orchestra conducted by Steve Sidwell. “I can’t imagine a better place than the Elbphilharmonie to play Angels live for the first time in the AI version and the songs from my new album ‘XXV’,” he says of the concert.

In 2022, Williams released a new version of “Angels” created by the AI Beethoven. Originally developed with the aim of completing Ludwig van Beethoven’s unfinished 10th symphony, the artificial intelligence analyzed Beethoven’s entire work. For the project, producer Guy Chambers and Jules Buckley first gave the song a new basic structure, then the algorithm was commissioned to weave the intro with Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” and create a new instrumental part.

Tickets for the performance cannot be bought, instead they are available free of charge to Telekom customers via the MeinMagenta app. Tickets can be reserved there from October 26 at 3 p.m. In order to register, you need an ongoing mobile phone or internet contract with Deutsche Telekom. The performance will also be broadcast live from 8 p.m. on the Telekom broadcaster “MagentaTV” as well as online on magentamusik.de and on the brand’s social media channels.

The ex-Take That member made his breakthrough as a solo artist with the single “Angels” in 1997. Williams also released the best-of album XXV in 2022, which includes numerous of the artist’s hits in newly arranged versions, including “Angels”, “Feel” and “Let Me Entertain You”.
