The bridge at the Botanischer Garten S-Bahn station is being renovated – the elevator was built in a rather amateurish way so that it can no longer be used. A comment from BZ editor Katja Colmenares.

Admittedly – my technical understanding and spatial imagination are the same as amoebas.

But even a single-celled organism would have seen before the completion of the replacement bridge at the Botanical Garden S-Bahn station to the elevator that something wasn’t quite right there.

Who, if you please, is planning such a botch? Was the person assigned to do this ever on site, or is there an expensive bridge-building computer program where you type in three parameters and it’s as good as built?

Next up is the construction company. At least one person must have read the construction plan before starting work. Anyone who has ever put together a Lego spaceship or an Ikea kitchen knows that!

Is that the much-lamented shortage of skilled workers? Are we now too stupid in Berlin? no Just too naughty.
