In Britain, you can hear Olavi Virta’s song in a new advertising campaign.

Uber Eats, which sells food home delivery services, has recently launched a new advertising campaign “Do Less” (Finnish: Do less), which encourages valuing the art of doing less. The advertising campaign includes three videos aimed at TV advertising, one of which contains a surprising blue and white music selection.
In the Do Less campaign video “Parrot” (Finnish: Papukaija) depicts a man who dances at home in front of his pet parrot. The man sings Olavi Virran evergreen Silver moon and dances to the song. The table showing the current even flashes for a moment on the screen.
The song recorded by Virtra in 1960 is originally an Italian song Gualtiero Malgoni composed by Malgoni also wrote the lyrics to the original version Guarda che Luna.

Uber Eats offers its services in Italy, but not in Finland. That is why it is surprising that the Finnish interpretation of the song has ended up in the advertising campaign instead of the original version.

Advertising agency Mother London designed the campaign for the UK and Ireland office of Uber Eats. The ads are primarily aimed at the British market.

A Swede was responsible for directing the ads Andreas Nilsson, best known as a music video director. He has been making music videos, among other things For David Guettafor MGMT, Depeche Mode and For 2 Chainz.
