On Monday, Lil Baby released “Heyy,” the next song off his album IT’S ONLY ME, which is due out on Friday (October 14).
The first song from the album, “Detox”, was released on September 2nd. Now the cover of IT’S ONLY ME is also known and Lil Baby shows his version of “Rap Mount Rushmore” on it. Instead of four major presidents, here he shows himself four times.
The album is set to include features from his mentor, Young Thug, Future, Jeremiah and EST Gee, among others.
Young Thug demanded a release
The two rappers have a close relationship. Lil Baby said in a 2020 interview that Young Thug invited him to the studio to give him a chance to avoid going back to jail.
However, Young Thug himself has been in prison since May. Still, he posted a tweet urging Lil Baby to make it public — or the two won’t be friends anymore.
