Italian writer, author of “Silk”, is considered one of the most versatile contemporary public intellectuals. Alessandro Baricco, known for his best-selling novels “Glass Land”winner of Medicis Award and the Campiello Award in 1991, “ocean sea” from 1993 and “Silk” from 1996, he has also had a prolific career as a television presenter of cultural programs, such as “L’amore is a dart” Y “Pickwick”, as well as for his work as a playwright and essayist. His fourth non-fiction book, “The Barbarians” (2006) addressed the relationship between writing and the digital cultural revolution.
