After three defeats in a row, FC Schalke is in a knee-deep crisis in the Bundesliga. The fans were already demanding that coach Frank Kramer be kicked out at the weekend. Those responsible are apparently already thinking about a plan B.
The air for Frank Kramer is getting thinner and thinner. After the third defeat in a row and the completely unimaginative and discouraged appearance in the 0:4 against Bayer Leverkusen, the club made a public statement to its coach and called for an increase in the next game against TSG Hoffenheim.
If Kramer’s team does not deliver against the Kraichgauer either, the Royal Blues may pull the ripcord and separate from the coach. According to “Bild”, in this case, ex-Bochum coach Thomas Reis would already have a successor who could take over the job directly.
Reis and FC Schalke were already in talks a few months ago. The miners wanted to sign the former Bochum promotion coach for the new season, but VfL put a stop to this plan. Kramer finally got the post that he is now in danger of losing prematurely.
Kramer against Hoffenheim on the Schalke bench
According to “Bild”, a dismissal of the trainer this week is not an issue. Means: Kramer gets his “final” against TSG, which in turn is also under pressure after three games in a row without a win.
It has long been suspected that Kramer could lose his job at Schalke in the near future. The “kicker” also reported a few days ago that the coach was “under observation”. According to “Sport Bild” there are also tensions between the coach and the team, who should not fully support his tactical plan.
Kramer’s current contract with FC Schalke runs until the summer of 2024.
