Painted rainbow viaduct with death threats towards Rutte and Kaag cleaned

A specialized company has cleaned the very first rainbow viaduct in the Netherlands in Oostzaan this afternoon. The viaduct, which was festively unveiled in May this year, was daubed in the night from Sunday to Monday.

The names of Prime Minister Rutte and Minister Kaag were written on the pillars, followed by two death crosses. Texts such as ‘gays’ and ‘1675 children gone’ can also be read.

The municipality says in a response that it takes this incident highly: “We are disgusted by this action and strongly disapprove of it.” The noise barrier along the A8 also read ‘1675 children away’.
