DEL: Adler Mannheim react to Gaudet failure

After the long-term absence of new signing Tyler Gaudet, the Adler Mannheim signed Ryan MacInnis from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL).

The former NHL forward from the USA played mostly for the Rochester Americans in the AHL last season.

The center is the son of NHL legend Al MacInnis (59), a 1989 North American professional league champion with the Calgary Flames and a 2002 Olympic gold medalist. Ryan MacInnis (26) has a total of 27 NHL games for the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Buffalo Sabers completed.

“Ryan fulfills exactly the requirement profile that we had created. He is a robust two-way striker who reliably fulfills his tasks on both sides. With him we will be able to compensate for Tyler’s absence even better,” said sports manager Jan-Axel Alavaara. Canadian Gaudet will be out for up to four months with a leg injury.
