Defender Abdou Diallo sees his move to Bundesliga club RB Leipzig as a revival of his stalled career. Diallo was often just a substitute at his ex-club Paris Saint-Germain and “didn’t want to play at a club where I’m useless”.
That’s why he decided to go on loan to Leipzig. “I want to prove it to myself. I’m only 26 years old and I don’t want to regret anything until the end of my career. So I try it. RB Leipzig loaned Diallo from Paris Saint-Germain for a year in the closing stages of the summer transfer window. The cup winner also secured a purchase option. So far, the central defender has played once in the Bundesliga and twice in the Champions League.
