It was also decided that the youth academy (NLZ) would be outsourced to Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG on July 1, 2023. “That would be an important building block. We would have clearer processes and could speed up development times for individual players. We want to have as many talents as possible in the Bundesliga,” sporting director Markus Krösche had previously campaigned for the application. “If you see our radiance and reach, then we have to prevent talent from our region from moving to Mainz or Hoffenheim in the future.”

Eintracht’s financial reports also show a net profit of almost 1 million euros for the 2021/22 financial year – around half of the result of the previous season. Despite cost increases in all areas, a positive business result is still expected for the coming financial year.
Eintracht Frankfurt wants to aim for an equity increase
CFO Oliver Frankenbach made it clear again that the SBU had to accept significant losses as a result of the corona pandemic. “As a result, equity has fallen dramatically,” said the 55-year-old. However, due to its sporting successes, Fußball AG has “the highest company value since it was founded”, which is why the right time has come to initiate a process to increase equity. This was followed by an emergency motion, which was accepted, which stipulates that the shares in the eV may not fall below 60 percent and an investor may not hold more than 24.9 percent in order to avoid a blocking minority.
