After their victory over Bulgaria in the second game against Kazakhstan, the German volleyball players did it again.
The German volleyball players also won their second game at the World Cup. After the opening win over Bulgaria (3-1) on Monday (September 26th, 2022) in Arnhem, the Netherlands, the team of national coach Vital Heynen easily defeated Kazakhstan 3-0 (25:15, 25:18, 25:21).
Defending champion Serbia is waiting
In Group C of six, the German Volleyball Association (DVV) team meets defending champion Serbia (Thursday), Olympic champions USA (Friday) and Canada (Saturday) in Lodz, Poland.
The top four teams make it to the second group stage. The German women have never won a World Cup medal.
Belgian Heynen, coach of the men at the DVV from 2012 to 2016, is in charge of a women’s team for the first time.
