TPS, which plays in Jalkapallon Ykköne, announced on Sunday evening that it has fired its head coach Jonatan Johansson from his task.
The club will announce the new head coach on Monday.
TPS, which wants to be promoted to the Veikkausliiga, finished second in the regular season that ended at the beginning of September. At that time, the difference to the league leader KTP was one point.
In the upper secondary series, TPS has won one and lost two matches. The difference with KTP has grown to four points.
– TPS is going to chase league promotion under the leadership of a new head coach, the club said on Twitter.
Johansson, one of Finland’s best soccer players of all time, started as TPS’s coach in July 2020.
