La République en marche (LREM), the political movement of French President Emmanuel Macron, officially changed its name on Saturday. The party is now called ‘Renaissance’. Macron’s party, which was founded just a year before he became president in 2017 and also served for his re-election in 2022, must reinvent itself because Macron cannot pursue a third presidential term.
