After the integration of Sami Khedira and Philipp Lahm at VfB Stuttgart, the future of sports director Sven Mislintat seemed to be hanging in the balance. But apparently the Swabians are pursuing a very clear plan with the long-standing BVB chief scout.

The 2014 world champions Sami Khedira and Philipp Lahm will support CEO Alexander Wehrle and the club management as advisors on sporting issues.
Ex-professional Christian Gentner is also hired as head of the licensed players team in the Ländle.

The club had “found the right personalities,” Wehrle enthused proudly. “I am very pleased that you are committed to VfB.”
Also present at the announcement of the triple personnel coup was sports director Sven Mislintat, whose powers will be curtailed by the signing of Khedira and Lahm.
