Officially
Sandro Tonali (22) has received a new contract with AC Milan. The most valuable Italian in the champion’s squad has extended his working papers by one season until 2027 – the Rossoneri announced this. “Sandro is a symbol of determination and a sense of belonging to our colors.”
Milan signed Tonali from relegated Brescia Calcio in 2020 for a €10m loan plus a €20m buy option for 2021. However, the Milanese did not pull this, but negotiated. Tonali was keen to stay and Brescia had their backs to the wall as the defensive midfielder’s contract would have expired in 2022 – consequently a payment of €6.9m plus €3m in bonuses was agreed.
