Ankaragücü match statement from Beşiktaş’s Josef de Souza: If my intentions were bad…

Josef de Souza of Beşiktaş made a statement on the official website of the black and white club.

Josef said in his statement, “If my intentions were bad, I would not have called the police and security. The referee asked me and I helped the referee throughout the match.” said.

Here is that explanation;

“The attack was aimed at where we were collectively. We don’t know if he has a knife in his hand or what. If Cenk had not returned, the attacker would have broken his back. We do not know what he was attacking for. If I had bad intentions, I wouldn’t have called the police and security. The referee asked me and I helped the referee throughout the match.

I’m having trouble understanding why I’m getting a card. It is my greatest regret that such events occur in the field. I hope it doesn’t happen again. We should only have football in our heads, the rest is not our concern.”
