First images of underwater treasures on rugged sea route give a glimpse into 3,000 years of history

World Heritage Organization UNESCO has launched a major underwater study in the Mediterranean Sea. Hundreds of ships have sunk in the Skerki Banks area, leaving countless archaeological finds on the bottom. UNESCO wants to ensure that these finds are well protected.
