Wolfsburg (AP) – Striker Daniel Ginczek is leaving the Bundesliga soccer team VfL Wolfsburg after three and a half years and is moving to the second division team Fortuna Düsseldorf. This was announced by Lower Saxony and Fortuna.
The 30-year-old Ginczek switched from VfB Stuttgart to VfL Wolfsburg for the 2018/2019 season. Born in North Rhine-Westphalia, he scored nine goals in 55 Bundesliga appearances for Wolves; he has played a total of 66 competitive games and scored eleven goals for VfL – including in the Champions League and Europa League.
Goalkeeper Pavao Pervan, on the other hand, has extended his contract with VfL, which expires this summer, by a further two years until the end of the 2023/2024 season. The 34-year-old Austrian (7 international matches) moved from Linzer ASK to Wolfsburg in 2018 and has played 30 competitive games for VfL in goal.
