Ten years have passed since the main commercial platform for self-managed artists without intermediaries. Buenos Aires Direct Artist (BADA) celebrates its tenth anniversary in the green pavilion of The Rural Fairground of Buenos Aires. With three hundred established and emerging artists, from August 25 to 28, the fair will offer works of art to the public at affordable prices.
The proposal is a direct bridge between the creator and the buyer. In this way, those interested in the acquisition know the history and the elaboration in a personal way that led to the artistic project. With a selected curatorship, among the artists you can find Luisa gonzalez (paint), Camila Villar (He drew), Pablo Salvador Rocha (sculpture), Deborah Staiff (textile art), Yayo Castillo (Photography), Chapon (contemporary jewelry), Luciano Mogni (installation) and Matilda Sayag (mosaic).
They will also participate in the 2022 edition, Paula Pons with “La Pensadora” reinterpreting the work of rodin, alfredo segatori with “Immersive Art” Urban Art5D, Milo Lockett expanding their art and generating positive impact towards new frontiers, Sarah Stewart Brown with the “Papelitos” series made with an original technique. All the works explore the volume, lights and shadows of the reliefs on paper, metals, acetates and other materials.
The event aims to make buying and selling art easy, direct and accessible. In 2009, the plastic artist Ana Spinetto brought the “artist direct” format to Argentina with Art Yes – Art Supermarket. In 2012, he released the first BADA in Pilar with enormous success and validity.
Since then, BADA it was installed as an innovative alternative in the local art market. It constitutes a simpler and more direct meeting between artists and those who appreciate their work. This proposal has promoted the approach of people who do not usually frequent the formal circuit of the market, but value the arts in their different manifestations.
