AZ will compete in the group stage of the Conference League against FC Vaduz from Liechtenstein, Apollon Limassol from Cyprus and the Ukrainian Dnipro-1.
The first matches in the group stage are scheduled for Thursday September 8, the last for November 3.
The club from Alkmaar had to pass three preliminary rounds as the winner of the Dutch play-offs for European football. In the latter, the club from Alkmaar convincingly dealt with Gil Vicente from Portugal and ended up in pot 1.
