Kanye West can do civil, too.

Kanye West has announced a follow-up to his DONDA album. The release of DONDA2, as it is titled, is planned for February. The album is produced by fellow rap artist Future. Ye, as West calls himself, posted a picture with the announcement showing a house on fire.
The follow-up to the previous album, released in 2021 and named after Ye’s late mother, would be the first sequel in the artist’s ten-album oeuvre. His management had already announced in “Complex Magazine” at the beginning of January that he was already working on a new album and that it would be released earlier than many might have expected.
The first DONDA album had seen several release date shifts before finally being released in August 2021. It featured Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby and The Weeknd, among others. The fact that Ye had also worked with Marilyn Manson and DaBaby caused controversy.
West is known for often delaying releases and endlessly tinkering with his music – sometimes even after it’s released. Further information about the new album DONDA2 has not been announced for the time being.
Most recently, West made headlines with his romance with “Uncut Gems” star Julia Fox. In addition, the three-part documentary “Jeen-Yuhs – A Kanye Trilogy” will be released on Netflix on February 16. Ye last appeared musically in January with the single “Easy,” in which he rants about his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend, comedian Pete Davidson.
DONDA2 is scheduled for release on February 22, 2022.
