Dog alone and without food and drink in dirty house, animal confiscated

In the Breda region, the police have taken a malnourished sheepdog away from a negligent owner. A local resident raised the alarm because he had been concerned about the dog for a long time.

At the time the police knocked on the house, the dog had been alone in the house for at least two days. The house was dirty and the dog had no food and drink. There was also a lot of poo from the shepherd inside.

“This made it pretty clear that the shepherd wasn’t being walked either,” the police wrote.

Dog safely housed
The dog, who was very thin, was microchipped, but the chip was not registered. The dog was seized after the police visit and placed in an undisclosed location.

Due to privacy concerns, the police do not want to disclose exactly where the dog was found.
