World Cup in Qatar starts a day earlier

The World Cup in Qatar will start on November 20th, one day earlier than previously planned. As the world association FIFA announced, hosts Qatar and Ecuador will then play the opening game.

This decision was taken after a unanimous decision by the FIFA Council Committee. Previously, the game between Senegal and the Netherlands on November 21 at 1 p.m. local time was scheduled to be the first game of the tournament.

This match is now scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. on November 21st.
