The official opening of the European Championships drew crowds to Munich’s Olympic Park.
As the organizer announced, 55,000 people attended on Wednesday evening. The opening in summery temperatures was accompanied by music, including by the sports friends Stiller and rapper Marteria.
The response was so great that admission was stopped at 8:00 p.m. three quarters of an hour before the start.
On Thursday at 9:00 a.m., the rowers will ring in the sports festival, until August 21, the 2022 European champions will be determined in nine sports in the 1972 Olympic city. 177 medal decisions are on the program, 4700 athletes fight for medals.
