Actress Katariina Kaitue has been attracting her close circle to dance lessons for years. This fall, she has the opportunity to enjoy dancing to the fullest.

On the dancing with the stars dance floor, you will also see well-known stars. One of them is actress Katariina Kaitue. The actor’s dance partner is a dance teacher Anssi Heikkilä.
Dance experience Kaituee has Aira Samulin’s dance school Rytmikkäin from the 80s, but the actress talks about her own dance skills with a whip of self-criticism.
– I was definitely the worst dancer, but I loved performing. A love for dancing and movement has certainly remained from there, Kaitue says.
– For decades, I’ve been trying to get someone to go to a dance class with me, but people’s schedules always mess up. It’s wonderful that they asked and Anssi accepted the challenge, Kaitue is happy.
Kaitue admits that solid performance experience is unlikely to be a disadvantage on the dance floor.
– The fact that I have been an actor for more than 30 years has caught all sorts of things along the way. Dancing is a different story, however, the actor always has that role as protection, Kaitue says.
Learning choreographies is also completely new to Kaitue. He describes his pelvis as being in deep ice.

Kaitue says that during her long career she has had athletic roles, but she hasn’t been able to dance much.
– The National Theater is so much more a Speech Theater than, for example, the Helsinki City Theater, Kaitue states.
Has Kaituetta been courted a lot for TV formats?
– Not when I’ve been at the National Theater so closely. People know that the schedules are such that I’m actually closed the whole season. That’s why less, Kaitue says.
