Pallets, waste and wood were dumped on a ramp to the A7 near Marum in the night of July 31 to August 1. This created a very dangerous situation, according to the police. The dumped waste also contained asbestos.
Three days earlier, at almost the same spot, near Frieschepalen, a vehicle collided with the waste dumped there. According to the police, the man now arrested may also be responsible for the dumping. The suspect is being questioned.

Activists have recently dumped garbage on several highways in protest. There were regular farmer protests on and near highways, which are campaigning against the cabinet’s nitrogen plans.
