Fenna from Breda (9) gets the farewell she deserves. Within a day, more than 20,000 euros was raised for a funeral or cremation. The fundraiser was set up by a friend of the mother.
“We so desperately want this sweet girl and her parents to get the farewell they so dearly deserve,” it said in the description of the fundraiser. The donations poured in. People gave amounts ranging from 5 to 500 euros.
Many donors put a heart to the relatives. “I am very sorry for the loss of your girl”, and “words fail” for example.
Swimming pool filter
On Saturday, Fenna got her hair stuck in the filter of the swimming pool. She couldn’t get out of this and drowned. It happened in the swimming pool of camping La Dune des Sables in the French coastal town of Les Sables-d’Olonne.
A bystander and lifeguard came to the rescue, but were unable to save the girl. Local media reported that French justice has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
