A National Men’s Volleyball Team defeated Cuba 3-1 in the final of the FIVB Challenger Cup and came in second. Champion Cuba qualified for the 2023 FIVB Nations League.
Turkey could not show the desired performance in the offense against Cuba, which was effective in the services in the first set. With its success on the block, Cuba won the first set 25-17 and took a 1-0 lead.
In the second set, the national team was effective on offense with Adis Lagumdzija. The crescent-stars, who scored points with attacks from the middle, allowed their opponents to approach the score at the end of the set, but they took the set 25-23 and brought the balance to the match: 1-1.
Playing a comfortable set with Herrera and Concepcion’s points in the third set, Cuba took the set 25-20 and established a 2-1 superiority.
In the fourth set, Cuba was effective on offense with Lopez. Finding comfortable numbers from the setter’s diagonal, Cuba became the champion by winning the set 25-20 and the match 3-1.
With this championship, Cuba earned the right to participate in the 2023 FIVB Nations League.
