Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart reached the second round of the DFB Cup on Friday evening at third division Dynamo Dresden thanks to a 1-0 (1-0) win. Darko Churlinov (33rd) gave the Swabians the lead. From the 67th minute, Stuttgart was down to ten men because Waldemar Anton was sent off after repeated foul play with yellow-red.

Karlsruher SC confidently advanced to the second round. At the Mecklenburg Oberliga club TSG Neustrelitz, the bottom of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga won 8-0 (3-0) on Friday evening. In front of a good 3,000 spectators, the outstanding Fabian Schleusener (12th/14th/41st) as well as Jérôme Gondorf (67th), Malik Batmaz (71st), Daniel Gordon (73rd) and Simone Rapp (82nd/87th) scored. the goals for the KSC. TSG, which had previously failed at KSC in 2007 (0:2 after extra time), conceded their fourth first-round defeat in the cup.
The guests started concentrated from the beginning and came through Schleusener with the first two chances for an early 2-0 lead. When Neustrelitz were able to make the game a little more open, the unstoppable Schleusener made his hat-trick perfect just before the break. 1. FC Nuremberg masters the task at regional league promoted 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn
After the brilliant derby victory against SpVgg Greuther Fürth, 1. FC Nürnberg only managed the first task in the DFB Cup with difficulty and brought 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn in their game of the year to the hoped-for entry into the next round. The second division team beat the newly promoted regional league team 2-0 (1-0) on Friday evening and are thus in the second round like last year.
Johannes Geis (45th) and Enrico Valentini (84th) scored the goals for the “Club” in front of around 6,000 spectators in Siegen’s Leimbach Stadium. The district club from Siegen, which was only founded in 2007, had reached the first main round of the cup for the first time and now had to accept its first defeat in 2022. The four-time cup winner started with a total of four changes. Coach Robert Klauss also made a change in goal and gave Carl Klaus a chance to prove himself. Valentini made the decision shortly before the end with a left-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area to make it 2-0.
