Iltalehti previously learned, according to the observations of an eyewitness, that there is queue chaos at the wine party. The promoter of the event describes the situation from the organizer’s point of view.
Espoo’s wine festival sparked discussion when visitors revealed that they had been queuing for food and drink stalls for half an hour to an hour. The products also ran out, which upset the audience.
Iltalehti reached the promoter of the festival Tommi Mäken, who is also the managing director of the organizing company. According to him, the wine party caused a haze that lasted for about an hour, but it was quickly brought under control considering the situation.
– The thirsty party crowd was surprised. The situation is now under control.
According to Mäi, during the happy hour at the party, a few points on the basic ticket side ran out of sparkling wine, when bottles were sold at half price. Some of the visitors bought more than one, so the product was temporarily out of stock.
According to the promoter, the situation was handled by applying for 5,000 more bottles to the sales points.
– You can’t avoid queuing at a sold-out festival. There are several points in the area and you can also get a drink right away from Haukilahti Helme, because there have been no queues. There was nothing out of the ordinary for festers.
The atmosphere in the festival area has been calm and the event has not been crowded. According to Mäki, the area is large, and queues and traffic jams may have arisen in individual places. He adds that there have been many more spacious places in the area in terms of stalls.
There are several stalls and a toilet area at the festival. The promoter says that there has not been a queue for the large toilet area on the regular ticket side, which means that the queue time has depended on where the area is.
– If the customer has no experience of such a full festival, the experience can be wild.
Mäki thanks the audience for their good behavior, which has been matter-of-fact despite everything. There have been no disturbances in the event. The products are back in place and the party continues merrily with headliner Ellie Goulding in the wings.
The promoter promises that tomorrow the wine party will go well and the wine will not run out.
– Yes, happy hour is also tomorrow. It will not be deleted. You can get wine at half price. We will be better than ever and I promise that the wine will not run out at any point.
