Tennis pro Yannick Hanfmann has reached the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Kitzbühel. The 30-year-old from Weinheim prevailed in 2:31 hours 6:3, 6:7 (5:7), 6:4 against Iwan Gachow.

The Russian entered the tournament at short notice as a so-called lucky loser for Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, who was ill.
