The Stones landed in Düsseldorf on July 25th, the following day Mick Jagger celebrated his birthday and now the concert is imminent. The Veltins Arena at Schalke is almost sold out. Around 50,000 fans are expected. All information about the concert can be found here.
By the way: The Rolling Stones’ “Sixty” tour ends in August with a concert in Berlin. On August 3rd, the old rockers will play one last time on the Waldbühne.

arrival
The Veltins Arena is located on the “Berger Feld” in the geographic center of Gelsenkirchen. If you want to travel by train or bus, you can get there via the intermediate station Gelsenkirchen Hauptbahnhof. From there, stadium visitors can take line 302 (direction GE-Buer) directly to the Veltins Arena stop. This takes about 15 minutes.
Stadium visitors can reach the Veltins Arena by car via exits 6 (Gelsenkirchen-Buer) and 7 (Herten) of the A2 and via exits 16 (Gelsenkirchen-Zentrum) and 17 (Gelsenkirchen-Schalke) of the A42. Then simply follow the signs, the organizer recommends. A total of 14,000 parking spaces are available on site.
There are over 600 bicycle parking spaces around the arena for the fittest. These are guarded and are located in front of Tunnel 1 and behind the East cash desk.
