According to BVB rumours: Suárez change fixed

Uruguay’s national soccer hero Luis Suárez returns to his first professional club.

After the 35-year-old reported an agreement with Nacional Montevideo on Tuesday, club president Jose Fuentes confirmed the transfer on Wednesday.

Suárez, who was without a club after a stint with Atlético Madrid, made his professional debut with the 48-time Uruguayan champions in 2005 and signed a five-month contract.

After FC Groningen and Ajax Amsterdam, Suárez rose to become one of the most dangerous strikers in the world at Liverpool FC (2011-2014), then he had a very successful time at FC Barcelona (2014-2022), with whom he won the Champions League and 2015 won the Club World Cup. In 2020, Uruguay’s record goalscorer went to Atlético.

Recently there were reports that Suárez had been offered to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for the seriously ill Sébastien Haller (testicular tumor).
