An Antwerp couple with an eight-month-old baby has been found in the High Fens after hours of searching. The family lost their way during a snow walk, and were rescued in the nick of time. In recent weeks, the emergency services had to turn out for lost tourists in the High Fens. Experienced naturalist guides know that this is the most dangerous time of the year. At the turn of the year, an average of ten hikers lose their tracks during their journey through the swampy plateau in the Ardennes, where darkness falls from one moment to the next and it can freeze to minus twenty.
