A wildfire in Mariposa County, California, threatens thousands of homes. The fire is one of the largest wildfires to have raged in the region this year. The fire broke out Friday afternoon (local time) and has spread to an area of more than 2,500 hectares. More than 6,000 people were evacuated from the area on Saturday morning, according to the fire service.
