S.i reopen on Canale 5 the doors of the luxury hotel of the Alarcón family. And naturally other secrets will come out in the third season episodes of Grand Hotel – Intrigues and passions, the Spanish series that combines yellow with romanticism. How will the love story between Alicia and Julio go on? What other mysteries lurk within the walls of the Grand Hotel? Grand HotelMegan Montaner arrives
To the already very rich cast of the series set in Spain at the beginning of the last century, is added an actress beloved in Italy, Megan Montaner which was Pepa in the first season of The secret. In Grand Hotel – Intrigues and passionsthe Montaner will be Maite Rebelles, Alicia’s lawyer and dear friend. A story of family and power
There are many events that unfold in the Grand Hotel of Doña Teresa Alarcón. The matriarch and forefather of the family since the beginning of the story tries to move the threads of the life of her three children, Alice, Sofia and Javier. He grants Alicia, the youngest, to the manipulator Diego who has been promoted to hotel manager. She hides the abortion of Sofia, her eldest daughter who fell down the stairs, in order not to lose the privileges of her kinship with the nobility represented by her husband Alfredo, Marquis of Vergara. She goes to great lengths to keep Don Juan and game-loving Javier out of trouble. More than anything, though, tries to defend the property from the last wishes of her late husband Don Carlos who, in a letter, recognized the right to inherit from his eldest son, the illegitimate and unsuspecting Andrés.

It all starts with the arrival of Julio Olmedo
The story is set in motion by Julio Olmedo’s arrival at the Grand Hotel, played by Yon González. The young man arrives from the provinces because he has no more news of his sister, a waitress on the hotel floor. He gets hired as a waiter and begins the research. Helping him is Alicia Alarcón, the youngest of the family. The investigations of the two, who in the meantime see their understanding grow until they fall in love, bring to light the unspeakable secrets of the Lords and service personnel.
Grand Hotel, whereand we were left
Before being executed for being the killer with the golden knife, Benjamin hands Alicia a box with some evidence to shed light on the death of the girl’s father, Don Carlos. Dona Teresa is finally willing to recognize Andrés, who has meanwhile been sacked, as an Alarcón. Alicia saved her sister Sofia from being accused of killing Beatriz, but she doesn’t want to have anything to do with her anymore. The same goes for her husband Diego Murqia to whom she confesses that she has a lover of her making him lose his mind. To close the eighth episode of the third season is the explosion that reduces part of the Grand Hotel to rubble.

The plot of the first new episodes
Julio is injured, but despite everything he tries hard to find Alicia who is nowhere to be found. He thus understands that his in love with him has been kidnapped. Helping him in the research are Detective Ayala e Maite (to whom Megan Montaner gives her face), a friend of Alicia’s who has just arrived at the Grand Hotel. When, finally, Alicia returns to the Grand Hotel she looks for a way to free herself from her husband Diego of whom she saw a photo of her in the place where she was held captive. New intrigues are appearing on the horizon.
The curiosities of the series
The Grand Hotel is the Magdalena Palace, in Santander. Built in the early 1900s as a summer residence for Alfonso XIII of Spain, it was used as a set for the first time in the Spanish series. To propose its use was Juan J. Luna, the historical curator of Grand Hotel – Intrigues and passions who works at the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid. It was Luna who studied the details of the time to avoid any kind of historical error. The same type of work was done for the costumes by Helena Sanchís, formerly in charge of series props such as The switchboard girls And Velvet.
