‘I Love You Meat’: Anthrax Guitarist Scott Ian Shares Emotional Post On Meat Loaf’s Death

Scott Ian also spoke warmly about the death of Meat Loaf. As a family member, the anthrax guitarist took a little longer. Because Ian Scott was Meat Loaf’s son-in-law.

Scott is married to his adopted daughter Pearl Aday, who is also a singer, and they have a ten-year-old son together.

Posting some family photos with his late father-in-law on Sunday, the anthrax rocker wrote, “There are so many stories to tell and I know over time they will all be told. For now, I know that Meat’s legacy is being kept alive by his family – Pearl, Amanda, and Revel. Their unending love for their father/grandfather outweighs the pain in their hearts.” Scott added, “Thank you for everyone’s love, we feel it. I love you Meat”.

Amanda is Meat Loaf’s daughter with his first wife Leslie. Their daughter Pearl was adopted by Meat Loaf after their marriage in 1979.

Meat Loaf passed away on January 20, 2022. Neither family members nor his management announced an official cause of death.
