Stefano Tacconi speaks: “The best victory will be going home”

The former Juve goalkeeper joined in a rehabilitation center since the 19th century after falling ill in April: “I won everything in my career, but this is the most important match”

“I have won everything in my career, but this is the most important cup. I hardly remember anything; I understand that I have been so bad, but now it is much better.” Two months at the Alessandria hospital and three weeks at the Borsalino rehabilitation center Stefano Tacconi told the XIX century of the path followed after the illness (cerebral aneurysm) of 23 April. The progress is clear, she is now breathing autonomously and keeps repeating “come on, come on, let me get up. I want to get out of the hospital and go home soon”.

At work

For now he is engaged in two physiotherapy sessions a day, reading newspapers, and comments on the Juventus transfer market (“Pogba is back at Juve, a great player; thank goodness Dybala has gone away”) and does not lose his spirit, as his son Andrea says, referring to his father’s joke: “Andrea, give me a gin and tonic that my throat is dry”. For the summer the plans are already written: he will have to remain hospitalized for another month and a half. But as the relatives say, the improvements are clear: “he gets up by himself, walks accompanied and moves with his wheelchair; he never complains and always wants to do something more”.
