After interim job at Barnsley
After several years as an assistant, Joseph Laumann begins his journey as head coach. The 38-year-old, who was under contract with FC Barnsley until recently, will take over from Standard Liège under-23s, who will start next season in the second-rate Challenger Pro League.
Laumann was able to gain his first experience as a boss on the sidelines in November 2021 when he worked at Barnsley after the dismissal of Markus Schopp acted as interim coach for two games and won against Derby County with coach Wayne Rooney 2-1 (1-1). After stints in Lotte, at VfL Bochum, Hallesches FC and Barnsley, he is now moving to Belgium, where his contract runs until June 2024.
