Matteo Scarpellini is the new chief financial officer

The Italian fashion group Aeffe SpA has found a new chief financial officer. The parent company of the Alberta Ferretti, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, Moschino and Pollini brands announced on Monday that Matteo Scarpellini had been appointed chief financial officer (CFO), effective immediately. He will be responsible for administration, finance and controlling in the future.

Scarpellini can look back on a long career in finance: most recently he held various management positions at the Italian data acquisition specialist Datalogic SpA, before that he worked for the construction company Trevi Group for more than ten years.

For Aeffe, Scarpellini’s appointment is “an element of the Group’s new strategic organization,” Executive Chairman Massimo Ferretti explained in a statement. From the new CFO he now expects “an important contribution in an important phase of growth” as well as in the “progressive optimization of the management processes” and the “medium-term projects” of the group of companies, according to Ferretti.
