Jaimie Vaes is dealt with quite harshly by a media journalist from De Telegraaf. She thinks it’s Jaimie’s fault that Lil Kleine doesn’t see their son anymore. “That must hurt him so much.”
Daphne van Rossum, media reporter for De Telegraaf, is quite annoyed by Jaimie Vaes. The influencer ended her abusive relationship with Lil Kleine this year after he dragged her out of the car and started slamming the car door against her head. banging† Since then, she is solely responsible for raising their son Lío.
Condolences to Lil Kleine
Daphne doesn’t like the way Jaimie gets through it at all. “May I grumble a little bit about this? She is of course so ‘very brave’ and all those friends are hanging on her every word and she is such a survivor, you know. That’s how she puts it all down now,” she complains in the media podcast of the newspaper.
“But I actually find it a bit strange that she just says – with a big disclaimer, because I don’t know exactly what it is – that Lío no longer sees his father. That must hurt him too, right?”
“He was in therapy!”
Daphne thinks it’s time for Jaimie to give her heart a try after the violent beatings. “It’s also not good for the child and a father has the right to build that bond and he worked on himself in Thailand, right?”
Colleague Jordi Versteegden stunned: “Yes, three weeks, Daphne. He was there for three weeks and we all don’t know what he did there. You cannot recover in three weeks.”
‘Just act cool!’
Daphne: “Yes, but you know: he has the right to see his child, right? If necessary under supervision. It is very often the case that after a divorce the child comes to live with the mother, the father is pushed out of the picture and these are all months or years or weeks that you can no longer restore contact. Just be cool about it and be brave.”
Jordi: “Isn’t he partly to blame for that? Isn’t he a very aggressive man who cannot be trusted? Imagine if he pulls Lío out of that car later!”
Daphne: “Yes, but he is also a father. I have a lot of trouble with these kinds of stories.”
Botox clinics
According to Jordi, however, Lil Kleine has always been mainly concerned with himself rather than his family. He was often found in the nightlife during their relationship. “We saw him there more often than with his son. Why now?”
He does denounce the way in which Jaimie processes her abusive relationship. He thinks her TV soap is too superficial. “If you really want to be the mother and want to solve this with Lil Kleine herself, then don’t film a series, but first solve it at home and then bother us again with all those botox clinics and restaurants you go to.”
