Belórf is planning a trip to Morocco to visit his father.
Sofia Belorf tells about his relationship with his father in a recent episode of the Sofian salaisuut program. The two newest episodes can now be seen on the paid Discovery+ service.
Known as a fitness model and media personality, Belórf has not been in contact with her Moroccan father for fifteen years.
– The last memories I have of my father are not very warm. I remember being afraid of my father as a child. That may have been the reason why I didn’t want to go to the meeting earlier, Belórf says in the episode.
The father has been trying to contact his daughter for many years. Belórf says that he didn’t answer the messages for a long time because he wasn’t sure how to approach the matter.
– I have been angry with our father for what we experienced as children, and how he has been towards my mother.
However, now Belórf has learned that his father has fallen ill and is recovering from a major operation.
– For quite a long time, I’ve kind of withheld information from my family that I’ve been in contact with my father and I’ve even planned a trip there.
In the episode, Belórf reveals his travel intentions to his brother and mother. In particular, telling Amin’s brother about this is exciting because his attitude towards their father has been more negative.
However, the brother takes a calm approach to the matter. Belórf asks his brother if he would be interested in going on the trip.
– Yes, not at the moment, or at least not with such a quick sampling, Amin answers.
Belórf’s mother also takes the travel news well.
– You are an adult, you know what you are doing, Belórf’s mother says to her daughter on the phone.
Belórf says in the episode that he has always had an open relationship with his mother.
