Lampaert, Quick-Step rider, has been the fastest in the Copenhagen time trial of Stage 1 of the Tour de France
The Belgian has surpassed his compatriot Van Aert
Starting gun in the Tour de France. Starting in Copenhagen, where Stage 1 of the 13.2-kilometre time trial took place, the fastest was Yves Lampaert (00:15:17), who has taken, by surprise, 5 seconds from his compatriot Van Aert. In third position has been Tadej Pogacar.
Stage that has been marked by rain. The first to leave have found the track wet and this has caused those who left later to find the asphalt drier.
This is the second stage win for the Quick Step at a Grand Tour in 2022 after Mark Cavendish in the Giro d’Italia.
Much expectation in the Danish city to enjoy this start of the Tour de France. The competition continues in Denmark to dispute the stage of tomorrow Saturday and the one of Sunday.
