FC Bayern apparently hot for the Bundesliga star

FC Bayern has already prominently strengthened with Sadio Mané, Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui. Now a Bundesliga star is being traded by Munich: Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen.

Like the portal”LFRII” reported, FC Bayern kept an eye on the Werkself central defender. Accordingly, the bosses of the German record champions even inquired about the general conditions of a possible transfer and contacted Bayer Leverkusen.

Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic only indicated last week that FC Bayern had not yet completed transfer planning for the coming season.

“We are in June right now. Of course we will keep our eyes open and see what is possible and what our financial possibilities allow us. We have ideas,” said Salihamidzic at the Mané presentation.

FC Bayern in the defense center sparsely occupied

Especially in central defense, FC Bayern is still sparsely manned after Niklas Süle left BVB.

The “Münchner Abendzeitung” recently reported that coach Julian Nagelsmann in particular was still demanding a leading player for the center of defence.

A reinforcement for this part of the team could be Tapsoba. The 23-year-old from Burkinabe joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2020 for €20.2 million from Portuguese club Vitória Guimaraes.

The 1.94 meter tall giant didn’t need any adjustment time and immediately established himself as a regular player and top performer at Bayer.

Will FC Bayern pay 50 million euros for Tapsoba?

No wonder Tapsoba is traded at numerous top clubs. Chelsea FC, Manchester United and Arsenal FC have already been said to be interested in the international.

Tapsoba’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen has a long-term date of 2026. According to reports, an exit clause is not anchored in this contract.

According to reports, however, the Rhinelanders are ready to let the defender go from a transfer fee of 50 million euros. It is doubtful whether FC Bayern would dig so deep into their pockets.
