Oliver Pocher has filed a lawsuit against Fat Comedy (bourgeois: Giuseppe Sumrain) and is now demanding 100,000 euros in compensation from the comedian.
As a further charge, Pocher named the persistent exploitation and degradation of a person. This was reported by the “image”, which in turn refers to judicial files. Sumrain punched Pocher in the face during a boxing event on March 26, 2022 and then mocked him on the internet.
The Fat Comedy team initially thought it was a typo
The amount is said to have seemed so high to Fat Comedy and his lawyers that they initially assumed it was a mistake. Fat Comedy’s lawyer questioned the proportionality of the requested amount and told “Bild” that “even Will Smith” after his slap in the face “doesn’t have to reckon with such an amount”. For this reason one is speechless. The lawyer also made a suggestion: Fat Comedy was willing to pay 1,000 euros to Oliver Pocher to show his remorse. After all, the penalty in comparable cases exceeds the limit of 500 euros in compensation for pain and suffering.
Statement after Schelle against Pocher
After his attack, Sumrain released a 10-minute video message on April 10, 2022 to comment on what happened. In it he tells of the evening in the Dortmund Westfalenhalle and explained that he had not planned the slap in the face but acted in affect. He also spoke out against violence and emphasized that it would have been better to clarify the matter with words.
However, Fat Comedy also criticized Pocher’s behavior and his jokes at the expense of others. In this regard, he said that bullying can have terrible effects on people. As an example, he cited the case of model Kasia Lenhardt, who committed suicide in 2021 due to bullying. He himself was bullied a lot because of his overweight.
