Highway A28 blocked again by farmers, now at Meppel
Demonstrating farmers have blocked the A28 highway near Meppel. Traffic in the direction of Zwolle has come to a complete standstill at the Lankhorst junction, Rijkswaterstaat and the ANWB report. Road users who want to travel south from Groningen and Leeuwarden are advised to drive via Heerenveen, Joure and Emmeloord.
On Monday, farmers had also blocked the A28. This happened between Hoogeveen and Assen, and in both directions at the Hattemerbroek junction, just below Zwolle.
