Cycling: Dutch champion Markus extends contract with Jumbo-Visma

Cyclist Riejanne Markus from Amstelveen has extended her contract with Team Jumbo-Visma by two years until 2024. Last Saturday Markus became Dutch champion on the VAM mountain.

“I feel very much at home in this team. The approach and family atmosphere suit me well. We are coached both on a sporting and mental level. As a result, I have grown not only as a rider, but also as a person over the past year and a half”, let Mark know.

On Saturday, the North Holland rider became Dutch champion on the road. Last Wednesday she also finished second in the Dutch Time Trial Championships. That is also the discipline with which she has big plans. “I hope to qualify for the time trial at the Paris Olympics in 2024,” said Markus.
