VfL Wolfsburg has presented Bartol Franjic (22) as the fourth external signing before the upcoming Bundesliga season. The Croatian defender was tied with Lower Saxony until 2027. The fee is said to be 7.5 million euros. In addition, the “Wolves” agreed with the training club Dinamo Zagreb on a resale participation of 15 percent.

“Bartol is still young, but he already has a lot of experience, both nationally and internationally, and has consistently performed well,” said VfL sporting director Marcel Schäfer, new signing Franjic, who, in addition to defensive midfield, also plays in the center of defense and as a left-back can play. Schäfer summed it up: “He can be used in a variety of ways on the defensive, defends well and has a good build-up.”
Franjic added: “It’s the right time for me to take on a new challenge and it has always been my dream to play in the Bundesliga. I can’t imagine a better club than VfL for that.”
