Midfielder Eduard Löwen will leave the Bundesliga soccer club Hertha BSC and switch to the North American professional league MLS with St. Louis City FC. The Berliners announced this on Friday, Löwen still has to pass the sports medical examination at his new club and receive a work permit for the USA.
The 25-year-old came to Hertha from 1. FC Nürnberg in 2019, but was unable to assert himself there. He only makes 14 Bundesliga appearances for Berlin, most recently on loan to FC Augsburg and VfL Bochum.
