Cars on Amsterdam ring road pelted with stones, presumably from apartment building | Inland

AT5 spoke to two people who had this happen. “The glass was really all over my car. If I had kids in the backseat… you could just die,” said one of the affected drivers. She saw rocks fall from the sky as she waited at the traffic light. As she drove away, a brick slammed through her rear window. Ingrid was lucky that the roof of her convertible was not open on Sunday. “Don’t think about what would have happened if we had driven with our roof down and that rock hit one of us in the back of our head.”

Fines

Police suspect more cars were hit, but say no one was injured as far as we know. It is being investigated whether a few boys of around fifteen have anything to do with the case. They were fined for loitering in a porch.

Local residents tell the city broadcaster that they call the police more often because of loitering youths and state that throwing stones is also more common. The situation is extremely dangerous and it is a top priority to find out who the perpetrators are, the police said. The detectives are looking for eyewitnesses.
